I love gardening

Watching others gardening that is.

Right now I am sitting in the cat bird seat watching a group of workers out in the rain trimming the plants in our berm. Well its not really our berm because it actually belongs to the Morningstar Golf Course, a fact which the salesman who sold us our condo conveniently forgot to tell us before we closed the deal. As long as they do not build more condos outside my window this lack of critical information will not matter a bit.

I think they should take away the trimmer from one of the gardeners though... before he clearcuts the whole damn place. Enthusiasm can go too far.

Well here goes nothing

Nothing ventured nothing gained but the thought that somewhere out there in the virtual world there might be someone who is interested in reading my thoughts... is mind boggling.

I used to write a column in our local newspaper about the politics of fishing - from an angler's perspective, but my editor decided that it was not politic to slam commercial fishers for their enviromentally unfriendly activities while living in a community where the commercial fishery was failing, but had until recently been a major component of the local economy.

Ah well - can't win em all.
